Excursions
Most of the excursions are free of charge for the members of Familia Club. The membership fee for 2010 is 15 euro for adults and 6 euro for children. Become a member
For all excursions we leave together from Familia Club. Children together with their parents are welcome. The excursions are made by bus, tram, Metro or by foot. Everybody pays her/his own ticket. For the outdoor picnics you should take your own food with you. Familia Club provides tea, coffee and juice.
Päivälehti – journalism and printing techniques museum
Friday 17.9. at 12.30
We get to know the history of printing techniques and newspapers. We also visit the Great Adventure – Moomin Family 65 Years -exhibition. Registration on Wednesday 15 September at the latest.
Fazer candy factory
Friday 15.10. afternoon
During the 1 ½ hours guided tour we get an introduction to the secrets of chocolate and candy production. You can also eat as much sweets and chocolate as you want. You also get a free product package with you. Maximum 25 persons. Registration on Monday 11 October at the latest. Please note that the factory is situated in Vantaa and you need a regional ticket when travelling there from Helsinki.
Autumn open air scout camp
Saturday 23.10.
How to find your way in a Finnish forest, is it possible to sleep in a tent in late autumn? The scouts take us to their week end camp in Riipilä in Vantaa. Transportation to the camp from Helsinki starts in the morning and we come back in the afternoon. Food will be served. The schedule and registration information will be available later.
Theatre trip: Amijima
Wednesday 27.10. at 19.00 Kansallisteatteri
The Love suicides at Amijima is the Japanese author Chikamatsu Monzaemon’s powerful drama dating from 1720. Buto-dances, geishas and samurais show traditional Japanese culture. Maximum 10 participants. Binding registrations on Monday 13 September at the latest. Tickets for Familia Club members only 5 Euros/adult.
Natural History Museum
Friday 12.11. at 12.30
Exhibition Finnish Nature takes you to different parts of Finland during the four seasons. In the Finnish nature you can see the impact of the northern location and severe climate, light but short summer and long and dark winter. Registration on Wednesday 10 November at the latest. Entrance fee for members 2 Euros/adult, others 6 Euros/adult.
Dance theatre Hurjaruut: Winter Circus Sika
Friday 3.12., morning
The legendary annual Winter Circus by Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth has delighted and surprised spectators of all ages since 1994. There will the most imaginative figures on stage as well as the salsa orchestra Kuukumina. Maximum 10 participants. Binding registrations on Wednesday 17.11. at the latest. Tickets for Familia Club members 3 Euros, others 10 Euros.
