Activities
Familia Club offers activities for different age groups, for children as well as for senior citizens. In Familia Club you can meet others interested in multicultural issues and participate in different groups. You can drop in for a cup of coffee or tea, read the paper of the daily paper, use the internet or just come for a chat.
Familia Club's activities include:
- Finnish language courses and conversation groups
- tandem language training
- multicultural family club
- creche, children´s Chinese language club
- cooking club ”Falvours from Finland and around the world”
- excursions, member evenings, parties
Your help is needed
The work of Familia Club is based on the voluntariness and the activity of the members. If you symphathize with our principles and aims, you can support our work by giving us your time and expertise. At the same time, you will get the possibility to know people from different backgrounds who have moved to Finland from
all around the world and Finns interested in multicultural issues.
It is an easy way to travel around the world.
As a volunteer you can for example:
- help as a teacher’s assistant on a Finnish language coursetoimia suomen kielen ryhmässä tukiopettajana
- direct a Finnish language conversation group
- direct different kinds of activity groups (e.g. music, handiwork, cooking, childre’s club)
- participate in organizing excursions and events
